My hubby is taking me to Stonehenge for a long weekend for our wedding aniverary @ the end of March, can't wait its a place I have always wanted to visit. We arehoping to see other places nearby and visit some shops etc. anybody know of places to visit and the best shops

maiden i can give you my number if you want.. will guide you where to go. u must go to avesbury if you are at stonehenge and do do do come to salisbury to see st thomas' church it is beautiful and so is the cathedral of course.. the town is lovely and worth a stop x

dont take this the wrong way maiden.... but I think you might be disapointed with the henge..... rugger all there... its just a pile of stones in the middle of a field (my family call it the building site).... and not much else Avesbury is better but a rugger to park at. Sailsbury is nice... and Glasto is the place to go for the atmosphere.... altho it is a bit commercial (to the outsider)

it's not commercial at the top of the Tor tho somer lol... hard to get to though.. bit of a climb Wink

am afraid its to much of a climb for me

Glastonbury Abbey is worth a walk round and the grounds are quiet large to walk around.
