Your spirit guide?

The way I found my guide is that, I was confused. I had done all the meditational things peeps told me to do. Going in to meditation and out of the shadows steps the spirit guide, nope not for me...I went to bed after meditating forever asking to see and meet my spirit guide (nothing happened). So before I closed my eyes I said ..OK now I will expect your name in my head first thing in the morning when I awaken. BAM! sure enough as soon as I opened my eyes there it was Meredith!!! Meredith told me it really didn't matter what the name or the sex that (she) was my guide and that she would be with me forever, but I need to ask things of her. That she would tell me alot but to know things I must seek.
She is right there for me that is forsure. Even to tell me she told me so. I am like (dang it why don't I listen)
I have had a couple of masters come to me lately! Abraham & Jacob. They bring me teachings that they feel I need to know. I love that.

What a great experience, how long had you being trying to find your guide before that happened?

I don't really remember ever wanting to know about a spirit guide. I didnt know that was who it was talking to me, i just thought it was me thinking. I thought the ringing I get in my head was going to drive me nuts. Then when I started honing in on this, I guess it was about 6 months until I figured it out. I was trying so hard...like I said. but just go to bed and say leave your name with me tonight and let it be with me when I awake. It will be there. Always but always ask god to surround you with love before asking. The right intention should be mentioned. it will come. You do Reiki right? do a treatment before you go to sleep. That will center you. and then just breathe it will come. I mean if it hasn't already.

Ah I met my guides sami, it took a long time though, much longer than that, though like you i've been hearing them for years.

I first found out about Spirit Guides a few years ago, by reading "Contacting your Spirit Guide" ( by Sylvia Browne) and doing the meditation.
I KNOW i have one. I have been told by someone that her name is Sheila but I call her Isa because that is the name that came to me one day while i was listening to Celtic Woman (semi meditating) wishing that I could contact my SG. and the name Isa came through.
I always seem to pull the Isa rune too when i cast them, so I just went with it since the name doesn't really matter.
I know my SG is with me, and communicates with me, but I would like to improve it...always. I haven't seen her yet that i know of. ( what if it's a HE?!?! LOL) I did joke once with some friends that "my spirit guide was an ass since i never HEAR anything" that night when i went to bed, my ears were ringing VERY loud!! i said "ok , i take it back!, now let me get to sleep"
