| We all doubt, no matter how experienced we are and i think a little doubt is actually a good thing as it will keep you on your toes and grounded, imo it only becomes a problem when it becomes overwhelming. Many a good medium has given up on their gift because of doubt. Do you doubt your ability, and if so how does it affect you? | |

Hi Starr, I imagine some would find it quite frightening if a spirit just materialised in front of them, though i know that does happen to some people, for many though it builds gradually over time, you don't say exactly what you have seen but many begin with shadows or movements glimpsed out of the corner of the eye others see orbs or spirit lights and others may seen outlines or mists. It is important to point out here though that not every unexplained sighting is necessarily a spirit, hope that helps! Look forward to chatting with you soon :flower: | |

| Doubt is my middle name!!!! Hmm... I've always thought of this as a bad thing... but perhaps it's just a form of objective rationality and is an important part of my personal journey? | |

| I Have doubted things in the past and in the present Spititualy, Sometimes i get an overwhelming fear of WHAT IF ITS JUST A HUMAN DEFENCE MECHANISM TO BELEIVE THERE IS ANOTHER PLACE WE GO WHEN WE PASS , Is this what people who dont beleive feel all the time all thru their lives if so i can understand ,why they can sometimes be so bitter with life . Maybe thats why places like this forum have beem invented , to help those kind of understand a wee bit more of what IS OUT THERE On the other hand , we all have free will , I have doubted as ive said so much ive just switched off , Then something out of the ordinary happens that cannot be explained, I sometimes go searching in my mind to find answers and the only thing i come up with is a spiritual intervention . I agree. A certain amount of self-doubt can be a valuable tool, as it protects against fanaticism. It's only a problem when it becomes overwhelming (as it does sometimes). | |
