I think Heaven & Hell are states of mind, rather than actual places.
Most of us believe in, and some have evidence for (from Mediums etc), the continuation of the individual self after the physical body expires. I believe that what we experience after this physical life is dependent on our state of mind.

I think you're right actually, what we experience down here can be heaven or hell depending on your perspective and what you are going through at any given time.

I believe it's not only 'down here' that we experience our own heaven or hell, but in whatever comes after this physical life. (just my opinion )
