This is probably my favourite method of reading do any of you others use just standard playing cards for readings?

How do playing cards differ from other methods in reading them? Maybe that wasn't well put... what i want to know is how do you read playing cards? With tarot you can kind of interpret the pictures so what do you do with the cards? confused
