well we were but are haveing to get on with it, its the fact that we dont no when any of the treatments will take place, so basicly the whole of the summer looks shot, hope to see the family on the next bank holiday Sunday before I will be unable to travel again. we are coping some days seem harder than others.
Hope everyone else is ok

Nigel, Pam, you both must be dreadfully shocked but I'd go ahead and book York, things may not seem so bleak and confusing in a few months and once you know exactly where you stand with the treatment and it would be good for you both to have something lovely like that to focus on, i'm hoping to catch up with you both soon

appointment with hospital.... middle of may

chemo...... start of June at the earliest for 1 month so thats end of June

July minimum of 3 weeks "rest" from chemo before radio

start of August 4 or 5 weeks of radio so that takes us to the start or middle of September

2 to 3 months rest after chemo/radio for Pam to get her strenght back takes us to around November

It looks as thou we will be putting this year on hold.had hoped to get so much done in thecoming year, & its all going to be on hold we think

I didn't realise you knew when Pam was having the treatments, sorry,

we dont as such..... but we do know the time frame of the various bits.... so they are educated guesses..... it will be intresting to see how close we are on the guesses

Infact I spoke to the hospital yesterday & will be seeing the oncologist on Wednesday 6th May, then hopefully we will get the timing, & be able then to see the rest of the year clearer, the surgeon actualy said its more or less wiping out the summer for us. as said hope next week this time may at least have a better idea of what the year ahead has for us,
hoping to see the family this sunday in Hampshire.

Just popping in to say "Hi" to all. I've been offline for a week as we've been on holiday in Torquay. Something very weird happened there... I'll write about it in my thread when I can.

Have been in several times & no one seems to be playing must admit keep hoping someone will be around mind you am sleeping a lot of the time, hope everyone is ok. am looking forward to hopefully some sunshine they keep promising it.
Somer is getting good with the meals when am not able to do the cooking, washing up & even has fathom the washer so we are functioning ok,
