Chakras Empty
PostSubject: Re: Chakras   Chakras EmptyWed Aug 06, 2008 5:27 am

I don't know the full ins and outs some say there are 7 some say there are more. When doing reiki it is nice to get out a crystal dowser and hang it over where the chakra's are supposed to be. Before treatment the dowser doesn't move too much, but after treatment it can swing like a good un - and presumably the chakra has then become opened.

Would be nice to know more.

Chakra Therapy

The word "Chakra" is Sanskrit for wheel or disk and signifies one of seven basic energy centers in the body. Each of these centers correlates to major nerve ganglia branching forth from the spinal column. In addition, the Chakras also correlate to levels of consciousness, archetypal elements, developmental stages of life, colors, sounds, body functions, and much much more.

Dis-eases tend to point to the region of the body that is governed by that Chakra. This allows us to see where the energy is "stagnant". This energy is connected with our physical body through seven centers. These centers represent our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth. When these centers are healthy and in balance, then we are the equivalent. Below is a brief description of each chakra.

"The Chakra are stations along the central axis of your being. Each one is a point at which energy can be expressed in a certain set of actions, attitudes and emotions. The Chakra are a map of the soul which you must move along for healing to happen." - Rudolph Balantine, MD.

Accessing Your Needs
In order to balance your energy points with color you first must access if your energy center points are balanced or unbalanced. Based on the Physical/Mental/Emotional attitudes causing the unbalance, you can access the most prominent color needed. This is why Holistic Healing seeks the metaphysical cause behind the physical problem.

•An underactive chakra is usually one in which the energy is blocked or congested. The energy does not flow freely through the physical system. If it is congested ,blocked, underactive, we lack the energy to perform our daily functions. An application of color can help to stimulate the chakra into a balanced state.

•An overactive chakra is one in which overstimulation occurs. There is too much energy being drawn in and out of the center, aggravating a specific condition. An application of the complementary or opposite color is used.

The general rule for the chakra: If the chakra is underactive, an application of its basic color is used. If the chakra is overactive, then the application of the complementary or opposite color is used.[/quote]

If you look at the chakras very closely as I just have that as I was told this morning you will also notice that the sacral chakra and the heart chakra are linked to devine love sunny :starry:
So you see when you read the heart chakra that forgiveness is essential for your highest potential spiritually.

A little bit about Chakras that i know is this -

Part of the development of any psychic or spiritual ability is to stimulate these Chakras, known as the Kundalini power, power that travels through the body and generates power. Chakras are linked to actual physical glands (and theres 7 of them)
The first one is called the lumbar (or base) chakra (is at the gonads.) RED
The second one, is the spine chakra (at the adrenals) ORANGE
The third one, the solar plexus chakra(is at the lyden)YELLOW
The fourth one, is the heart chakra (at the thymus) GREEN
The fifth one is the throat chakra (at the thyroid) BLUE
The sixth one,is the third eye chakra, (at the pineal) INDIGO
and the seventh one, is the crown chakra (and thats at the pituitary.)VIOLET

Stimulating the chakras helps to build you up to a higher vibrancy. How i do it is to do my breathing excercises, then starting at the base chakra i imagine it as a ball of red light, i concentrate all my energies on seeing this ball of red light swirling, gradually getting brighter and faster, then i move up onto the spine chakra, imagining this as a ball of orange, gradually moving up again to the solar plexus one which is yellow, and so on. When i get to the crown chakra (the last one) i imagine the colour of the light to go white and i visualize it getting brighter until it covers my whole body. Its really important to awaken the chakras in the right orcer, from base to crown. With a little practice, you may feel a sensation when you awaken them. Hope this helps!
