Do you feel your gifts/spirituality are inherited from family members?
Personally I can't think of anywhere I could heve got it from, my mum has an interest but it's very recent.

My mother is of a conventional religious mind, and my father was a total materialist.... but I suppose these gifts or interests have to start somewhere!
One of my sons is developing a sensitivity to Spirit, and one daughter is currently getting slightly interested in the subject.

It's just that so often you hear of it passing down through the generations but it isn't always so..
